The Fire Application team develops fire safety products with great passion and dedication. Our state-of-the-art fire alarm systems provide people and equipment around the world with 24-hour protection against fire damage - in line with our motto "We make the world a safer place". Siemens' global center for the development of fire protection systems, which set standards worldwide, is located in Zug. As we move towards digitalization, the Fire Application team is also working on linking our products to cloud-based systems. We strive to incorporate advanced security concepts to ensure robust protection for our software and data. With its broad expertise in the areas of distributed systems, real-time and embedded software, the team assumes responsibility for implementing the defined goals in many development projects. The team is being further expanded considering the growing number of international projects, which increasingly involve technologies from the fields of edge and cloud computing.

Your new responsibilities

Automated Testing:
As part of a Software Development Scrum team, you will create automated regression tests for product features

Test Design:
Collaborate with feature developers to create test designs that ensure high product quality

Development:

Program robust tests based on these designs to verify the functionality and correct interaction of multiple software modules.

Enhance and optimize the internal test-framework

Maintenance & Analysis:
Maintain test systems continuously, execute regression tests, and evaluate the resulting data
Your talents and expertise

Education
: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, with a focus on software and testing

Experience and Skills
:

ISTQB Certified Tester or Test Manager

Scripting-level proficiency in C#, Java, Python, or similar languages

proven background in software development and testing

Several years of experience in Agile environments (SCRUM, SAFe) and global development projects

Several years of experience with Visual Studio, .NET Frameworks, C#, UML (Component Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, FSMs), SCM (Git), and Continuous Integration (GitLab)

parcours professionnel with NUnit, MSTest and Junit

Ways of Working
: Highly independent and self-motivated; proactive and solution-oriented; extroverted with strong verbal and written communication skills; high level of social competence for collaborating within international and virtual teams

Languages
: Full professional in English, German is a plus
