Role context
This is an individual contributor role embedded in our existing Corporate IT team, which includes a Senior Data & Automation Engineer, a Systems Support Engineer, and our CIO/CISO who owns the security strategy, governance, risk and crisis management direction, team leadership, the operating model, the project portfolio, and stakeholder translation.
Your impact
•
Hybrid Cloud Architecture & Operations
. You will operate resilient core IT platforms and shape architecture across Azure cloud, Azure Local HCI, AVD, storage, Azure databases, Azure and Veeam backup, and workplace infrastructure. The role is approximately 70% operations and 30% architecture/project work.

Identity, Access & Zero Trust
. You will help operate and improve identity and access management across Microsoft Entra ID and related systems, with a focus on Zero Trust principles, least-privilege access, phishing-resistant authentication, Joiner/Mover/Leaver processes, Entra Lifecycle Workflows, and scalable access governance.

Security Operations Engineering
. You will lead operational security work across Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM, including policy baselines, Attack Surface Reduction (ASR), tuning, triage, investigation workflows, remediation follow-up, log source onboarding, use cases, and detection improvement. You will also help optimize our security posture using Microsoft Secure Score.

Incident Management
. The CISO owns Speedgoat’s security strategy, governance, and crisis management direction. You will act as the operational security lead for incident response execution, supporting escalation paths, pre-approved containment actions, investigation, recovery, and post-incident improvements.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
. Together with the IT team, you will help maintain backup readiness, ensure immutable backup protection, document and execute recovery tests, and keep recovery procedures practical, tested, and effective.

Network, Connectivity & Perimeter Security
. You will contribute to network architecture, segmentation, remote connectivity, firewall/perimeter services, and operational reliability across Speedgoat locations. You will help ensure secure, available, and well-documented network services that support business continuity and growth.
Your background
What you bring
•
BSc/MSc, Swiss apprenticeship, professional diploma, or equivalent practical expertise in IT infrastructure, systems and cloud engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field.
•
Proven hands-on parcours professionnel with hybrid Microsoft infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, virtualization, storage, backup, workplace infrastructure, and PowerShell.
•
Practical skills in Microsoft Entra ID, Zero Trust, least-privilege access, phishing-resistant authentication, Joiner/Mover/Leaver processes, and access governance.
•
Strong parcours professionnel with Microsoft security operations, especially Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel SIEM, alert triage, investigation workflows, remediation follow-up, and detection improvement.
•
Practical experience with backup readiness, disaster recovery, incident response support, recovery testing, system rebuilds, and post-incident improvement.
•
Solid parcours professionnel with secure network and connectivity services, including segmentation, remote access, firewall/perimeter services, and reliable operations across multiple locations.
•
Hands-on engineering mindset with sound architectural thinking, clear ownership, strong communication skills in English, and the ability to prioritize between operations, projects, and continuous improvement.
Strong plus / nice-to-have
•
Relevant Microsoft credentials, such as AZ-104, AZ-305, SC-300, SC-200, SC-100, AZ-800, and AZ-801.
•
Direct Azure Local HCI experience, including Hyper-V, Software-Defined Storage (SDS) with Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), RDMA, Azure Arc, and PowerShell automation.
•
Parcours professionnel with Jira Service Management or similar ITSM platforms.
•
German language skills.
