The Opportunity
We are looking for a
Product Owner, Advanced Analytics – Commercial
to join our central Advanced Analytics team at
EPD Headquarters in Basel
.
This role sits at the heart of Abbott EPD’s transformation into a
data‑ and AI‑driven organization
. As the Product Owner for Commercial Analytics, you will lead AI, Advanced Analytics, and GenAI initiatives that support
Commercial Excellence, regional affiliates, and Finance
, directly influencing business performance and decision‑making at a global scale.
You will work closely with senior leaders, data scientists, engineers, and commercial stakeholders in a highly collaborative, international environment — shaping strategy while ensuring solutions are practical, adopted, and impactful.
Your Impact
As a core contributor within the
Strategy Management Office
and a trusted partner to the
EPD Senior Leadership Team
, you will help translate complex data capabilities into clear business value.

What You’ll Do
Drive Commercial Innovation & Transformation

Own the
commercial advanced analytics portfolio
, ensuring AI and analytics initiatives align with strategy and deliver measurable value

Partner with business teams, data scientists, and engineers to understand challenges and co‑create analytical solutions

Shape and communicate a clear product vision for analytics initiatives, from problem definition through delivery and adoption

Help build analytics and data literacy capabilities across the organization, supporting a strong, inclusive data‑driven culture
Build Strong Stakeholder Partnerships

Act as the
primary point of connection
for Commercial stakeholders on all advanced analytics initiatives

Facilitate alignment on priorities, scope, and roadmap through structured governance and open dialogue

Lead and support workshops, steering committees, and executive discussions

Coach and support stakeholders as they navigate AI, machine learning, and data‑driven ways of working
Deliver Impactful AI & Analytics Solutions

Lead cross‑functional Data Science and Data Engineering teams using
agile ways of working

Oversee delivery by managing milestones, dependencies, and risks collaboratively

Ensure analytics solutions are designed with the end user in mind, including clear user journeys and practical adoption plans

Balance technical understanding with business impact, helping teams choose the right analytical approach for each challenge
What You Bring
Experience & Skills

A relevant degree in technology, mathematics, science, business, or a related field

Around
4–5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role
, working with advanced analytics, AI, or data‑driven solutions

Experience delivering machine learning or data science initiatives in medium to large organizations

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across functions and regions

Comfort working in
multicultural, international environments
, including with remote teams
